When I quit my job in 2010 and ventured into the exciting world of entrepreneurship there was no shortage of conferences to attend.

Each one branded itself as the biggest, best, most important conference to attend.  And, I, did attend most if not all.

Fast-forward 8 years and I can painfully tell you that most conferences have little value to building your business.

Fruitful conferences are not neccerally the best or the best marketed.  Quite the contrary, they are the smaller "niche" events.  That way, everyone you run into may become your customer, partner, investor, advisor, or mentor.  They also tend to be cheaper (if not free) to attend.
